Top 5 holidays!

1- My best place ever will always be Sweden, simply because that’s where I really feel at home, my heart belongs there. I know I was born in Spain and that a lot of people consider me English, but inside I’m Swedish. I love everything about that country, in the summer it is nice and warm and there’s so many lakes and little islands you can go to everyday, I really like the woods in Sweden there are just so green and you can find so many animals and you can eat many kind of fruits that are common there.
In winter it is cold, but it’s perfect because there’s snow an the schools there are much better there’s shorter hours of class and you’ve got all day, and they don’t have to do so many subjects as we do.
I also love going there because I get to see all me family and cousins that I don’t see the hole year or sometimes a couple of years.

2- Second best holiday, was in Dominican Republic, I consider this my second best because it was a new experience I had actually never been to the Caribbean, and it was always my dream to go to those lovely white fins sand beaches and those incredible coral riffs with all kinds of interesting and colorful fish, I even got the chance to swim with my favorite animal, the shark.
It’s really a place to relax and just enjoy the sun but there’s also a multitude of activities that are available there, so it’s a lot of fun.
What really amazed me there was the view, so different from here, it’s so rich on nature and the people are so different.

3- Italy has reached third, because of all the unforgettable memories of all my friends, what I really loved of it all was just being in contact with everyone, just having the time of our life’s, I had never been on holiday with friends so to go with so many of them really amazed me.
There I got interested in the language; I think that their way of speaking is so passionate. I realized that I liked Italian people; they seem very positive and friendly people.
I think that Venice was one of the most interesting places there was, just because it’s different and I like all that work and art there.

4- Florida, I went there in 2001 with my family and there I visited Disney Land, and for me at that moment, like I was just a kid it was great and just different holiday. I had to get used to the people there, they are very different, their life and their way of eating.
When I was there I ate crocodile, I wouldn’t really want to go back because I think there’s many better places for people my age now, but for kids it’s great.

5- Mexico, I went there last year, and it was great, but it’s a lot like my other holiday in the Republic, so I wasn’t that excited but I t was good anyway, There was one problem, the beaches there where gone because a huge hurricane went past and took everything in it’s way, that’s the only bad thing, but apart from that I really enjoyed it.

Where am I going this year?
- Well, my family is going without me next week to the Republic again with some friends. I’m not going this year because I need to be in college because it needs a lot of dedication and it’s really hard, and I’m not going to miss 2 weeks of college…

-But, on the other hand, in Easter I’m going to London with Clara for a few days and with no parents, and we will stay at my uncle’s house, so we’ve got a place to sleep and eat for free. It will be very exciting I think, maybe it will be my number 1 holiday!

Marine Biologist?

Since I was really small I have always been fascinated with marine life. I think life under water is much more interesting than continental animals. Sea life is so amazing, there’s so many species of different shapes and fascinating colours, and they’re also so unique, they’ve all got different ways for surviving.

At my house I have always had aquatic animals, because I find them so interesting and I’ve bought a lot of books about them. In my bedroom I’ve got tropical fish a terrapin and out in the garden I’ve got fresh water fish. I’d also have marine fish but they’re very hard to look after and I don’t have the time I’m afraid, but I hope that someday I’ll have all the marine animals I want.

When I was just 14 years old I started to study diving so then I could have the license to go under water with a air tank, going under about 20 meters, I had a Junior license then, so I couldn’t go deeper but now I’ve got an adult license.

If I had to say one of my favorite marine animals, it be the shark, I know you are thinking I’m mad, but that’s the truth. Sharks don’t attack people just for the fun of it. There are more human deaths with rhinos and polar bears than there's with sharks.
I think people are afraid of sharks because they don’t like the look of them. I think the movie Jaws didn’t help a lot in liking them neither. And i have swum with sharks.

So I’m studying Batxillerat to be one day a Marine Biologist, that’s what I hope, because that’s what I really like.

Handball!

Hiya!

Today I’m going to talk about a sport I’ve doing for like the past 7 years, Handball. I play in Castelló d’Empúries where I’m in a team that’s called CH Esplais.
I train twice a week and every Saturday I play a match. Handball is an indoor sport; it’s great because you can play it in the winter and in the summer with no problems. At every match there are two teams, and every team has 7 players, the goal keeper, one pivot, one central, two laterals and two extrems, the match lasts 60min and there is a break every 30 minutes, so there is two parts in the whole game.
When I first started I used to be a goal keeper but they changed me to an extrem because they realized that my throwing was good, and extrems need to have great throwing because it’s the hardest place to score, and when I’m defending I’m the pivot because they have to be strong in defense. Just this year they making me lateral, so I’ll play nearly at all the positions. The bigger teams in my club have asked me if I want to play with them, but I don’t know yet.

I love handball because I get to see a lot of friends and we have fun, also I takes my mind of the stress of studying and it also makes me fit.

We have promised that if we’re first in the league we will paint our hair green, really don’t want to!

My opinion about drugs

First of all, why am I choosing this subject? I guess that’s because I hate everything about them.
Teenagers are usually the victims of drugs; we get very bad influenced because of it. It’s always the same, you’re old enough to go out and about so as soon as we’re old enough we all go to a party or something and then that’s when the problem starts really.
At first you’re at the party just enjoying it, without alcohol or drugs, but of course as time goes by people seem to have a bigger interest for bad things. Normally you start to get interested because your friends are doing it so, you do it too because you just think it’s cool, you don’t want to be left out of the group and you just seem to have the best time ever at the time you’re really enjoying it.
People normally start smoking and drinking at parties, at the time it doesn’t seem to be a bad idea, it’s really just having fun, but after that, after smoking at every party you have been to, you seem to be hooked and instead of smoking at parties, you start smoking during the week and after that it controls your life, the only thing you think about is; I can’t wait to get my cigarette out!

When it controls you, you want to go beyond the cigarette and you want a stronger drug like Joints (marihuana). That does cross the line, alcohol and cigarettes are legal, even if I’m against them they are legal, but joints are illegal and other drugs like ecstasy that are so and so bad for you. I think that these drugs really do destroy peoples life, and why? Why be addicted to something that destroys your life?

Everyone that started smoking and can’t leave it, really regret ever starting it, so do like me, just don’t ever start taking drugs that way you won’t ever have to stop taking them. I know a lot of friends that started and after year, when they’re really addicted the don’t want it anymore, but it’s to late, people seem to be very weak against these drugs, they always say the same; I promise you that from today on, I will stop smoking and taking drugs. A week passed and you see them over there taking it again. My question is; Why not continue on the progress you have done? Why start all over again?
Anyway it’s a cycle when you’re smoking and your hooked you want to stop, and then when you stop you want to start because you miss it. No offence but I think all this is pathetic.

I know so many people that are so addicted to it, it’s really a shame because I think that some of them are more intelligent than that, but at least I was clever enough to never start this so I have no problems unlike others.
I’ve tried to help many friends for them to stop, but you can’t make them stop if they don’t want to, you can only really help them if they want to also, otherwise it’s a waste of time. But I kind of understand people that do have problems, that they’re sad because of something that has happened in their life and they use drugs to feel better, I still think that that’s a wrong decision there’s many other ways too.

So…
- You can drink a couple of beers or something with alcohol but, but just a couple.
- If you smoke, try for your own sake to stop smoking and please don’t smoke other stuff.
- And finally, never take ecstasy if you don’t want to end up in a rehabilitation room.

So think about the consequences…

Will I visit Linkin Park?

Linkin Park has been one of my favourite bands of all time, probably one of the first proper rock bands. I guess I’ve been listening to it since I was 12 years old and is still love it, so you can imagine how much I like them, their style Nu-metal is unique, I love everything about them the heavy sound guitar the cross of rap-rock scream singing and so many other things.


But I do have to say, that I don’t really like the new album they released it a while ago now, in the summer of 2006, because they have evolved their not the same as they used to be, now they’re more commercial their music isn’t as heavy and there’s not a lot of rapping, so they’ve changed quite a lot, but I’m a big fan and I do like them still.

So, I’ve been waiting for them to come here in Barcelona about 4 years, and I’m so fed up waiting for them, they seem to go everywhere except here they even went to Israel, these are times that I really hate this place because none of my favourite bands ever come here, it’s like they didn’t know Barcelona existed, well that’s Americans for you I don’t think they know that a lot of people do listen to their music here so they just don’t come…

I’ve decided to go to Great Britain (UK) this summer at a rock festival called Donnington Park Festival for three days to see them and other good bands as well, like Slipknot if I’m lucky!
I’m so fortunate to have family there so then I can have a free place to stay instead of getting a hotel! I will invite friends over who ever wants to come and see them, I think it’ll be great, and that’s what I hope!
Oh yeah! Nearly forgot to say that I’ll take the airplane Ryanair to get there, it’s the easiest and the cheapest way to go there so that will be my method of transport.
